I'm a disability and program management specialist with over 15 years’ experience in Disability-Inclusive programming in East and Horn of Africa countries namely: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Malawi. I hold a Master’s of Arts Degree in Sociology and Communication from the University of Nairobi, I also hold Diploma in Prosthetics and Orthotics (P&O) from, Diploma in Project Management from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) among other disability-specific courses. I’m also WHO trainer for Wheelchair Services Training Package (WSTP Basic, Intermediate and Management) at Western Cape Rehabilitation Center (Cape Town, South Africa) My major role entails planning, design, implementation and monitoring of AT interventions, capacity building, program development and resource acquisition. I leverage on my in-depth knowledge of sector AT industry development trends and shifts to offer valuable insights on opportunities for new growth and deepening impact of AT interventions. I have managed to successfully implement complex disability programs in big and small organizations alike something that has earned me admiration by my supervisors and peers. These organizations include World Vision, CBM, Handicap International, Feed the Children, Sudan Evangelical Mission (SEM) and currently consulting with Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK). I am certain of my competence, experience and skills to oversee successful implementation of any development programme and would welcome the opportunity to work with any UN or any International Development entity
